The first sailor’s shelter
Go back in time a little by going through the first sailor’s shelter offered by “Jacques de Tézac”. You can take the ferry there or the bridge offering a stunning view of the Odet river, most beautiful river in France.
A few kilometres away, let yourself be seduced by “la Pointe de la Torche” – hiking trail for there from the campsite – brightened in the spring by fields of multicolour tulips and in June by fields of poppies.
Quimper, a city of art and history
An ancient and typical architecture from Brittany. A small tourist train will take you through history, paved roads, half-timbered facades, old walls form the 13th century and Saint Corentin’s cathedral.
Boat trip and cruise to the Glenan archipelago
In Beg meil – a short ride by the sea away from the campsite – board a ferry to the Glenan’s archipelago, home to the greatest sailors and its famous sailing school. Most of the islands are forbidden in order to save the flora and the nesting birds. You’ll be able to access Saint Nicolas island and discover the archipelago during a commented cruise. You’ll also be able to take the boat from Beg Meil to Concarneau to discover the fortified city and harbour
Hiking around the camping Penhoat: GR34
Right outside the campsite, you can hike or ride your bike for miles next to the beach or on the famous path of the coast guards (the GR34) that goes around all of Brittany. You’ll be able to witness magnificent sunsets or sunrises just next to the campsite.
